Go Red For Women 2026 at American Institute

Feb 6, 2026, All locations – This past February, our American Institute family came together to support the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement, joining millions across the nation in raising awareness about women’s heart health.

Heart disease has long remained the leading cause of death for women yet warning signs and how the disease presents in women can be overlooked or unrecognized as it can differ from how it presents in men and is traditionally understood. By participating in Go Red for Women 2026, our students, faculty, and staff helped shine a light on the importance of heart health for women of all ages.

Beyond wearing red on #WearRedDay on February 6, the campuses also participated in their regular training curriculum including CPR trainings and EKG training and discussed the various unique ways cardiovascular disease affects women. By weaving heart-health awareness into our program training, American Institute helps our students and graduates better prepare for patient care in our communities.

“I’m grateful to our campus communities for supporting this important cause each year and wearing their red to help spread awareness of women’s heart health,” shared Christopher Coutts, Senior Vice President of Ground Strategic Operations. “The majority of our student population is female, as are many of our staff and faculty, and it’s close to my heart to support and advocate for them in the healthcare arenas in which we operate.”
