Garfield Walk for a Difference (POAC)

June 7, 2015, Garfield, NJPOAC Autism Services is a nonprofit organization that provides more no-cost training and education for the autism community than any other organization. Clifton Massage Therapy students were delighted to provide complimentary chair massages to attendees at the Garfield Walk for a Difference event as they continue their fundraising efforts for this important cause. In March 2014, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) released a report showing 1 in 68 children nationally has an Autism Spectrum Disorder. New Jersey had the highest rates, with 1 in 45, 1 in 28 boys. The national rate marks an increase of 30% from the previous 1 in 88 statistic.
