The total raised by the students from the massage clinic was $1480.00.

The bake sale raised $303.60, for a grand total of 1783.60 raised for the organization. The Last Resort Rescue also sold merchandise including doggie bandanas, magnets, cups and notepads.
The Last Resort Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is located in West Milford, NJ and was founded in July of 2008, since then they have been saving the lives of animals and finding them loving homes. “This is a great event to have on our campus. Just knowing we were doing our part to help animals find forever homes made everyone feel really good,” said Hilda Diaz, Campus President of American Institute, NJ formerly known as Fox Institute, NJ. “The students also enjoyed getting some great practical experience as well. A special thank you goes out to Selene Del Valle, our Massage Therapy Program Director for making this all happen. I am sure the animals we helped to save will be forever grateful.”
Randy Proto, CEO of American Institute, NJ added, “I care very much about animals. It is unfortunate how many of them are subject to too much cruelty. They need the help of humans who understand their vulnerabilities and who try to protect them. The Last Resort Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is a great organization with a great mission. I hope the efforts of our massage therapy students assisted it in making the difference for many animals. Congrats on raising money for such a great cause.”
