Celebrating Medical Assistants Recognition Week (MARW) 2025

October 20-24, 2025, All locations – American Institute staff, students, and faculty of the Medical Assisting program were delighted to join the American Association of Medical Assistants in honoring Medical Assistants Recognition Week (MARW) again this year. Their theme this year was ‘Champions in Healthcare: Essential Healthcare Team Member’.

Whether they’re taking vital signs, comforting patients, managing records, or supporting physicians, medical assistants are often assisting at the heart of patient clinical care. Their work is essential, and their impact is felt in many patient interactions.

The American Institute Way: Supporting Champions in Healthcare
Medical Assistants embody the values we hold dear at American Institute—resilience, professionalism, and heart. They train hard, show up with purpose, and bring empathy to every task. That’s why this year’s theme, “Champions in Health Care,” resonates so deeply with us.

We see our students and graduates working toward this theme every day. From the classroom to the clinic, they rise to meet challenges, support their teams, and care for their communities. And we couldn’t be happier to be a part of that educational journey alongside these aspiring champions. They are built step by step through their life’s journey, pushing through their tough times and their fears.

To quote our Clifton, NJ Medical Assisting graduate speaker from this year, “As we stand at this significant juncture, a common question echoes in our minds: ‘What happens next?’ And perhaps, alongside that question, a little fear lingers in our hearts. But in these moments, we must remind ourselves of the powerful dream that first brought us to this institution. We dreamt of making a profound impact in our lives, and tonight, we are privileged to stand here having accessed American Institute’s incredible community. We cannot, we must not, allow fear to deter us from the path we are destined to walk. Each of you has faced obstacles before, and time and again, you’ve transformed those challenges into fuel for your journey.” – Maria I.

Maria, you and your fellow #AIGrads and Medical Assistants everywhere inspire us all and we continue to be grateful for and humbled by your big hearts and examples of championing patient care! YOU are our ‘why’!
