American Institute Celebrates Phlebotomists Recognition Week

Feb 9-13, 2026, All locations – American Institute campuses celebrated Phlebotomists Recognition Week and those among our #AIFamily who studied Phlebotomy in their program. The contributions these healthcare professionals make to our communities was celebrated by the American Medical Technologists (https://americanmedtech.org/) and highlighted with this year’s theme ‘Drawn to help others.’
Our West Hartford, CT campus celebrated with pizza for students in the classroom, while our Toms River, NJ campus handed out customized t-shirts to commemorate the occasion.
Beyond the technical expertise required for this role, phlebotomists bring compassion, patience, and empathy to their patient interactions. They can be a very important part of the healthcare experience and strive to provide a positive, reassuring experience to those in their care.
Whether they are working in hospitals, clinics, laboratories, or other healthcare settings, phlebotomists deserve our sincere appreciation and recognition.
