American Institute School of Wellness and Beauty Helps Make-A-Wish Foundation

Margate, FL – The Massage Therapy students at the American Institute School of Wellness and Beauty donated chair massages to the Make-A-Wish Foundation at their Dream Gala Charity Fundraiser at the Copa Royale on January 30, 2010.  The Dream Gala Charity Fundraiser included a Health & Business Expo in the Cabaret Royale. That is where individuals found the American Institute School of Wellness and Beauty students and received their massages. Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its “wish-granting” work. The Foundation’s mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors and entire communities.  Since its beginnings, the organization has blossomed into a worldwide phenomenon, reaching more than 193,000 children around the world.  For more information about the Make-A-Wish foundations please visit www.wish.org. The Dream Gala Charity Fundraiser benefited the Make-A-Wish foundation of Southern Florida.  Wendy DeZutter-Rolon, Executive Vice President of American Institute stated, “The Make-A-Wish foundation is a wonderful charity that truly makes a difference in the lives of children.  I am honored that the American Institute Massage Therapy students did their part to help this event be successful.  I also hope that the students  gained some great hands-on experience while they did their small part to help make wishes come true for children who are suffering from life threatening circumstances.  I couldn’t be prouder that they participated in an event to support such a great charity.” American Institute School of Wellness and Beauty will also be donating their time at the Make-A-Wish 5k race on February 5, 2011.  The students will be on hand to give all participants chair massages. Randy Proto, CEO of American Institute, added, “Making a difference in the life of a child is a great gift,   both for the child and for the individual who is making that difference.  There is really no better feeling than knowing you have helped a child.  I know that our American Institute Massage Therapy students understand this and commend their spirit of service to others. I encourage all of our students to remain involved in civic and charitable organizations after they graduate. ”
